Jonas Lundqvist is a Finnish fashion and advertising photographer. He shoots for fashion magazines, clothing brands, department stores and corporations.
His fashion and beauty work has been published in magazines such as: Elle Finland, Elle France, Elle Germany, Elle Belgique, Elle Canada, Cosmopolitan, Gloria Magazine, Trendi, Modern Woman, FT How To Spend It, Woman and Plaza Kvinna.
Before Jonas became a photographer he did a career as a professional ballet dancer at the Finnish National Ballet and later at the Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia, USA. In 2002 he stopped dancing due to an injury and decided to make a transition to photography.
Jonas feels, that choosing photography as a second career was natural. Dancing requires rigours attention to details, timing, forms and shapes, often trained in front of a mirror. Photography allows him to observe and capture these things in the outer world.
