Rane Tiukkanen has since the beginning of 2000 been one of the most awarded and trusted commercial film directors in Finland. Consistently winning his clients awards for years, he holds several Grand Prix and Kultahuippu recognitions. In 2017, he was honored with a lifetime achievement award at Vuoden Huiput.
Recently Tiukkanen has directed successful campaign films for the UK, Swedish and German markets in addition to Finland. His work for the Swedish Army forces received a Silver Lion at Cannes.
In addition to directing himself, Rane Tiukkanen is the Creative Director at Lucy Loves Stories, and takes pride in supporting and introducing new creative directing talent to the Finnish commercial storytelling scene. Constantly developing his skillset as a screenwriter and director, he frequents workshops in the US and UK. He has learned from the best: Robert McKee, Judith Weston, John Truby and the legendary Guillermo Arriaga.
